Gallbladder surgery

This consists of the extirpation of the gallbladder and the gallstones which, by blocking the bile duct, generate abdominal pain causing biliary colic.

The laparoscopic approach allows this kind of procedure to be carried out in a minimally-invasive way through incisions in the abdomen through which the instruments and materials necessary to remove the gallbladder are introduced thereby avoiding a large wound with undesirable aesthetic results, also decreasing the risk of the wound getting infected and post-operative pain.
